DESCRIPTION:

Hi!
Inside the C drive, there're differnt kinds of Autoexec files and Config. files.

For the Autoexec files there are .001 to .006, MS-DOS Batch file; DOS File; .nav; .nu; .nu3 and .qh files.

For the config files, there are .001 to .003; DOS file; .qh; .sys; and WIN file.

Do I need all of these? Will they create problem?

If I don't, how can I avoid making them in the future?

Thanks!
Joseph

Joseph,

Those are created when a program edits the autoexec, config, etc. Basically they are backups incase you have problems in the future. If all is going well and you have no problems you can delete them. I would though leave one of each that has a date closest to the current date.
Do not delete the ones with sys, com or bat behind them.

Sincerely,
James Kelley
