Hello MacOSX support member,
I am opening an .avi movie file of which the video plays but without any sound. I am using Quicktime 7.0 all updated also with Windows MediaPlayer update installed. My sound is set to high but not a peep of sound. What is the problem?

You need [http://www.perian.org/]Perian[/url], a QuickTime plugin that enables various additional formats QT doesn't natively support. Alternatively, you could use VLC.
