Hi,
I am trying to back files up to Idisk using back up 3.1.2.

The total size is approx. 3 G and has sucessfully backed up to my hard drive.

For over 12 hours the back up has been running, checking space, saving files, compressing and uploading on a continuous cycle (as far as I can tell as I have not been watching it all day).

This also seems to be slowing down my internet connection.

Hi,
after reducing the size of the backup I did manage to do an upload...however.
The Imac is doing some strange things and after two hours on the phone to support and getting hard drive failure I am returning the Imac (this is less than a week old, my 1st Imac failed after 1 year with power supply failure, I purchased a new Imac in December and its hard drive failed after two weeks).
After preaching mac for 5 years I now have egg on my face. My Ibook has run seamlessly for 5 years.

Hi Ken,

Hope the new one turns out well for you. The new iMac ... has a lot of new technology, and some small amount of failures are to be expected, though it's rotten when it happens to you.

Good luck!
