Does anyone know of a replacement for psyncX and/or CCC which no longer work with Tiger. I've tried MimMac, Phew_Mac and syncupX and they either don't work or won't back up a boot disk. I don't intend bying a .mac account so BackUp is not a possibility and I don't want to up-date my old Retrospect.
Any sugestions would be appreciated

Thank you Cheryl

I have tried Backup Simplicity and it didn't do what I wanted. Synchronize Pro does but I thought $!00 was a bit expensive. I will try DejaVue and iBackUp.

Late last night I found SuperDuper. The free version will backup a boot drive and any other file, folder or volume you want, initially wiping the backup volume and then doing incremental backups and in the $20 version you can set it to automatically perform backups at a given time, the way you could in psyncX.

This makes me really appreciate psyncX and hope it and CCC are eventually rewritten for Tiger, although I like the way SuperDuper does everything in the background and will wake the computer to do backups if it is asleep.

Anthony,

Did you try Peseudo ?

Here is a note from the CCC developer:

"If you've upgraded to Tiger you may have noticed that CCC does not seem to work. Apple updated the authentication sceme of AppleScript Studio (yea!) and there's a little bit of work to be done to get that part of CCC working again. I am planning an update to CCC but I do not currently have an ETA as I have some additional features and a large QA matrix."

He did release instructions to run CCC via Terminal. The instructions are here:
