Description:
We are thinking about buying one of the new iMacs and I have been accessing different web sites and their FAQs to answer my questions. I also read the iMac insert in my new Machome. I found out how to transfer files from the old mac to the the new one but the question of backing up files hasn't been addressed (that I've found). I bought my first Apple 10 years ago and 4 other Macs since then, and they always say BACKUP, BACKUP your important files. The iMac has no writeable drive so how do you backup to hard files other than printing? My daughter will be doing alot of writing over the next several years and I've impressed on her the need to BACKUP. How? How? on the new iMacs?
Thanks for your time.

Hi Carol, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
There are several ways. You can get a second external hard drive, an Iomation Superdisk Drive, Zip drive, etc.

All available for USB.
