HI Macbook OSX.4 was working just fine until if went into spinning icon freeze mode. I pressed restart... my screen went white and a blinking foler appeared with and question mark.
Ok Išve tried to reboot with c and the utility repair. I canŽt find the HD to verify. išve gone through each reboot with FSCK, pRam, safe mode,IŽve firewired it to another mac but my HD doesnŽt show up, what next?
Please help.

If you have booted to your installer/restore DVD, and your hard drive is not visible at all in Disk Utility, then your hard drive is lost (bad or dead). You can get that replaced under warranty if less than 12 months old, or replace with a new hard drive yourself. It's very simple to replace the hard drive in a MacBook. If you can replace the battery, it's only a couple of screws to get at the hard drive. Or take to an Apple service center, and have that poor hard drive replaced...
