I ordered a book from iphoto and loved it. Now, I have another book "composed" I want to order and after around 50 tries I'm really frustrated. The order seems to go smoothly until I receive an error message "there was a problem with your order" please retry. So, I click retry, and Apple thanks me for my order and gives me an order number. In about 10 minutes I receive an email from Apple telling me my order had a problem. So sorry.
I have emailed iphoto support three times - no response. Called Applecare and they suggested I upgrade to Tiger. Did so with same dismal results. Called Applecare again and after 90 minutes on the phone they admitted they could not help.
I have checked that I am not using postscript fonts (some have problem with that). I have checked "hide page numbers" and so it's not that. I have a 28 page book ( 2pages smaller than the one I previously ordered successfully).
I don't want to give up because I really want this book! - and, I loved the first one I did receive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Marianne
hi marianne.
normally iphoto will only refuse a book if it thinks for some reason it is unproducable. i would suggest the following.
when you have the book in front of you, right click (or command click) the book and then preview it. this will turn the book into a pdf file. you can then browse through the book and see if there is anything untoward (small photos, bad resolution etc). sometimes this is not noticable in iphoto itself.
also check that none of the included photo's are contained on cd's or are not in the iphoto library.
hope this helps
