I have a MB 120gb 2.16ghz running 10.5.2 and would like to install boot camp with xp SP2. my problem is that my leopard install disks were destroyed in an unfortunate accident after i installed leopard. i have the xp disks ready to go but i dont want to start the boot camp process with my leopard disks. do i have any options other than buying a new copy of leopard to get the disks? any help is greatly appreciated thanks

I have a unused copy I can sell you (leopard that is) other then that its buying a retail copy. do you not have a disk that someone can loan you to install the boot camp drivers?

yeah you need the disk to install the boot camp drivers in windows for the specific hardware of your mac. You don't need it to set up boot camp and install windows.

The drivers allow all the stuff to work that comes on the computer thats not standard on a regular PC.

so would it be possible to download the drivers, burn a disc of them and then use that to install the windows drivers?

i found somewhere online that if you open up the pkg contents of the boot camp assistant there is a dmg called Diskimage.dmg in the resources folder. the site said to burn this and i would have my windows drivers. is that true? / would that work?

it might, try it and see. I've never done it that way.

Good luck
