Netscape does not respond to my questions.
I downloaded Netscape Communicator 4.04 from thier free site. (Leaving Netscape Navigator 2.0 in the system). Was unable to open Communicator even after shutting down all windows, applications and extensions. So I trashed Communicator and downloaded Navigator 4.04 (stand-alone) It works when I shut down applications and extensions but does not give E-male and newsgroup access.- I have to switch back to 2.0 for those. 4.04 provides better access to my ISP so I wany to save it. Is there any way I can add E-mail and useent functions to 4.04 short of installing more RAM?

No there is noway to add email to Navigator 4.04. If you were able to get Navigator downloaded and installed I would try to download the communicator. Here is a couple of things to try once you download communicator, first allocate more memory to it, then go in your system file and pull out the netscape preference (they come in corrupt quite often) and trash it. Keep your Communicator in a separate file from your other Netscape. If you get the Communicator up and running go in your preference folder of the Communicator and set your cache to 125k, and after that download a Cookie deleter. You dont have much memory on your computer and if you start getting a lot of Cookies it will hog your memory and cause crashes. If you dont want to try Communicator again you can download Eudora Lite it is a free email set up. Thanks for using nowonder - sharona@nowonder
