Trying to open Photo Booth on my Macbook Pro but I get an error "no camera is attached or the camera is in use by another application". Neither are true. I tried visiting Apple's discussion site for the solution which was to leave the battery out over night then hold down the power key for 10 seconds. Did that but it did not resolve the issue. The iSight worked when I first got the MBP but does not now. Assistance please.

Spike- welcome to Macosx.com!
By any chance, are you trying to use Skype or iChat at the same time? Maybe a dashboard widget that uses your iSight? Only one program can access your iSight at a time, so that may be the problem.
If this didn't work or if you need any more help, feel free to contact me at any time.

I am using Skype but not at the same time. Skype does not see there is any video/camera attached either. Again, both have worked before. Thanks for your assistance Leonard.

Spike-
When was the last time you were able to get your iSight to work? Have you changed anything (ie. installed new software) since then?
Have you tried creating a new account on your Macbook Pro and seeing if the problem exists in that account?
Thanks for visiting the site,
