You just need to put a blank DVD into the superdrive and copy the folders that MactheRipper created. However if this is more than 4.7GB it will not fit.

I have tried to do that, but the blank DVD won't appear in the Finder at all. Hence my question.

If you go to Applications>Utilities>System Profiler and check what type of drive you have. A quick check on Apples Support site seems to indicate your system was fitted with a combo-drive not a super drive.

i have looked in the system profile but can't seem to be able to know what i ve got. From memory i have a combo anyways. Don't see where it says it though.
i have been able in between to change my settings and see the blank dvd once inserted in the drive; i then burnt it by copying the files.
once this was done i was n't able to read the dvd with my apple application but had to use VLC.
i tried the dvd on my dvd plugged on my home tv and it worked though. should i be able to read the dvd from my computer usiing my apple application for dvds ?
thks
