Hi.

I've got a few macs, the latest of which is an iMac 800MHz Flat-panel with Super-drive, Running Panther X.3.9.

Now I can write a disc using Toast 6 which the machine itself will recognise, but the same disc seems unreadable by my g3 (OS9), or, if I burn for PC, the disc is unreadable by the intended machines.

These are CD-R's I'm taking about. Haven't tried DVD-Rs. But I had the same problem using Toast 5 while booted into OS 9.2.2.

Any help out there?

Regards,
Andy

Are you running the latest version of Toast 6.x? Check Roxio's website.

Try a different brand of CD (the one Apple sells, but don't buy it from them). For some reason, that can make a difference.

I don't know anything about Toast and OS 9. Disks burned with Toast 6.x in OS X should be readable in OS 9 as well as those burned for PCs.

As a last resort, upgrade to Toast 7.0. Although I didn't (not enough new features), the upgrade process may clear up any corrupt files that may be responsible for this odd behavior.

If none of these work, please let us know. Roxio does provide reasonable customer support, so that might be your next best option. HTH.

No. Not the latest version.

A bit restrictive? I have used three types already.

That's what I would've thought! But . . .

As a last resort, upgrade to Toast 7.0. Although I didn't (not enough new features), the upgrade process may clear up any corrupt files that may be responsible for this odd behavior.

I've just got v6!! Forever playing Catch-up!!

Ok Thanks for the reply!
