is there a osx compatible program that i can use to burn mdf video files?
Hi brianash and welcome to macosx.com
(.mds &) .mdf are video image files made by Alcohol120%, a popular Windows tool. (.mds is an text file indexing the content of the .mdf: you can ignore the file)
Rename this .mdf file as .iso and use a MAC image burning tool to burn this image (Toast from
www.roxio.com for instance) -sometimes this trick works on Mac- sometimes ;-)
Please note that you must first mount the ISO image before burning its content: the .mdf is a container, so burning the file 'as-it' is meaningless.
Would better be to convert the .mdf on the Windows size, with UltraISO or equivalent to a standard ISO file which can be mounted on Macs (I have already dwnld 3-5 .mdf file, only one of them was abled to be mounted as an ISO image; for the other ones, I had to use a Windows machine to convert them into an ISO format
