I am trying to burn to a dual layer dvd. I am using Toast 8 Titanium and I have a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-107D in my mac G5. Whenever I load the blank DVD into the machine, it attempts to read it and then automatically ejects it.

Any suggestions? or am I just banging my head against a brick wall?

Thanks!!

Toast 8 can burn dual-layer DVDs, but only if you have hardware (your burner) that is capable of burning dual-layer DVDs, and your Pioneer DVR-107D is not capable of burning Dual-layer disks.
So, yes, you are banging your head against a brick wall.
Replacement dual-layer burners are quite cheap. I bought a cheap one at WalMart for $45, which is much faster than your Pioneer, and Dual-layer burning is great...
