I have a newly acquired G5 Powermac, but am used to PCs and Windows so very green on Mac systems. I am downloading video files through Azureus and as well as a problem finding the files once they've downloaded - I'm not sure where to go to put where to route these files as with the options menu in Windows. However, my main prob is that once downloaded I cannot burn an avi file to a dvd. iDVD doesn't want to know. Also if a file was bigger than 4.9GB in Windows the prog 'dvdSanta' took care of that problem - is there a similar prog for the mac.
Sorry for the length of this but want to keep usingthe G5 to download as it is 10x faster in Azureus than ny PC.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
I'll help you with the download location question and reopen your query for video burning suggestions. In Azureus preferences (under Azureus menu), in the Files section, I don't have checked Save to default directory nor Move completed files. When I open a torrent file with Command+O (also in File menu), Azureus prompts me to select the torrent I want to open and then to select the destination where I want it saved.
Let me know if this doesn't help.
Thanks, that seems to work. Now for the burning question.
About the burning question
Just have a look to commercial Toast 7 which is able to reencode .avi file and adjust compression level to fit the result in a 4.7GB limit
