Description:
I would like to know the maximum cable length possible between the computer and the monitor before the video quality is affected. I am giving a presentation and would like to place the monitor roughly 10 feel away from the computer. Would this affect video quality? If so, can I do anything about it?

Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Marianna, welcome to Nowonder,

I am Nikorn, and I will answer your question.

1. A single monitor with a cable of 10-20 does not degrade video quality
2. Two monitors with a replicate cable connect to one display card connector of a desk top computer will have unstable display. VGA signal booster/splitter required. VGA signal splitter is normally available for 4 and 8 monitors.
3. There is a rare chance that a sub notebook computer set to simulteneously display both on its LCD and a monitor with too long a cable might not work due to its weak signal.

You better have a trial run before doing presentation. If I know your exact setup you have I might be able to give better answer.
