TICKET ARCHIVE -> Can't Get Msn Messenger to Work!

I have an eMac, and the latest version of MSN messenger (4.01, I think....) and whenever I try to sign in, it says: "Can't sign in because you aren't connected or service is unavailable". I don't have any firewalls, and my service connection is right (I use dial-up, btw. My line is connected to other computers).
I can't think of anything that might be wrong, and it still won't let me in! I checked if MSN messenger was down, but it said "working fine". Sooooooooo.
Oh, yeah, and I have an OS X.

If anything I said above didn't make sense or was screwy, forgive me cause I'm only 12. And actually, I don't know what the heck most of the stuff up there means. <3

Instead of MSn Messenger you can try with adium http://www.adiumx.com and you can see if the problem is the application. All that you need to do is download the app and configure it. Adium is built for Mac OS X, so there is no problem.
