TICKET ARCHIVE -> Can't print postscript with epson 300

I am tying to print to a postscript file out of illustrator 10. When I select the epson 3000 to print I don't get the option to print to file. I am on 10.2.8 os x operationg system.

Howdy!

First, make sure you have the latest driver installed for your printer. Found here: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...s&platform=All

Then, try making a pdf of your illustrator doc and try to print that. If that works you might be having an issue with your illustrator file. I'd have to know more about your file to give you any input.

I did download that this morining. I had be using illustrator 8 with a 9.2 mac operting system. Now when I would go to file , then print the message box opened up. I would then select print to file and force fonts to download then hit save. It would then go to another message box. I cant recall what was on it right now but I was able to print to a postscript file. In illustrator 10 the message box that pops up when I print wont allow me to print to post script it wont even let me select it. I've ,just a few minutes ago, went to the print center and it dosen't recognize the epson as a post script printer which it is. Am I missing a file or need to move something to a differnt folder.

test a pdf page as I suggested and let me know what happens.

Can you print a very simple illustrator file? Do a test with just a square object on a page. Does that print?

I dont know what I did, but I got it to print to a postscript file.
