I have a Powerbook G-4 and can not sync my PDA w/Entourage. I've tried downloading the software from the Microsoft website and it merely flashes with no change or download beginning. I have a Tungeston E2 I am trying to sync. It currently works great with iCalendar ... I just like the format options and readability of Entourage Calendar and NEEEEDDDD it to make my insanely hectic life easier!!!

any help is welcome!

Thanks,
Audrey

In order to use iSync you must have Palm's Hot Sync software installed. Have you installed the Palm software?

I would recommend that if you plan to continue using Entourage that you do not use the Palm software (or iSync), and instead use The Missing Sync (www.markspace.com). It works far better than the Palm software and it's fully compatible with Tiger and Entourage. iSync is designed to work with Apple's iApps: Address Book and iCal. The Entourage conduit provided by Microsoft with Office is intended to be used with Palm's software and not with iSync.

I use a Tungsten E PDA with The Missing Sync and it works perfectly. Furthermore, The Missing Sync maintains compatibility with OS X, whereas Palm's synching software remains problematic - works for some but not all - and Palm's support for Tiger is less than reliable.

I would also recommend another nifty utility, E2Sync (www.e2sync.com), which uses iSync to synchronize Entourage to Address Book and iCal so that other applications that communicate with Address Book and iCal, but not Entourage, will find the same information as in your Entourage database.

I find both utilities, The Missing Sync and E2Sync, valuable tools for working with my PDA. Note that I have no interest in either of these companies. I'm just a very satisfied customer and user.
