Hi,

We are having a LAN party at my college soon, and the game being played is the free wolfenstein enemy territory. I have tried to connect to hosted games on the host pc, but cannot. The same is true for trying to get a PC to connect to my mac when I host a game.

Is it possible for them to interact?

It should be.
It may well be a networking issure rather than a Platform issue. How are you connecting to the other computers LAN or Airport?
Is there a server for DHCP there??

However i have known for some games to not connect from the PC version to the Mac version, it all depends on the game.

Hi Mike, Thanks for replying,

I've tried connecting via both airport and Ethernet, with both the firewall on and off. Still to no avail.

I'm not sure what DHCP is, but we're at at college, so there may be one. Purhaps the problem is that the other computers (windows) are connected via a domain, while I am not. My lecturer didn't seem to think that would affect it though, so I don't know.

Maybe it just wont connect to a PC version like you say? I've tried searching the Internet for instructions, but cant find anything. In fact I cant find ANYTHING at all about connecting the game between a PC and mac. I guess I'll just have to use a windows computer in college, but its a shame because I wonted to show people that macs do games just as well as PCs!

Thanks for your help,
Sam

Yea I think that may just be the case.

Sorry Mac I'd love to see the Mac make a show.
