A few days ago, when I started up my computer it would just go right to a gray screen with the spinning wheel. I cannot get it to leave this screen. I have tried putting in the original install disk and rebooting while holding c. This just causes the disk to be ejected. I have also reset the PRAM and then tried to open from the installation disk again. Still no luck. The only thing that I could do was when i rebooted while holding option, I got to the screen with my HD on it.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Billy

Try booting holding the shift key (safe boot) - this will take longer to start up but see if it does.

As far as it spitting the disk out, make sure you are using disk 1 that came with this macbook pro or a retail copy of Leopard that supersedes that disk.
