Hi

A few weeks ago I tried to upgrade to Adobe Flash Player 9. The installation failed and since then, I cannot seem to install any version of Flash. I normally use Firefox 2.0.0.7 but I have also tried to install using only Safari. I have tried "everything" (incl. fully removing Firefox so that my Mac would have only Safari installed etc etc). I am getting desperate. Please help!

Thanks in advance!

So everything includes downloading the PowerPC version from Adobe's Web site? What about, before installing from said download, removing existing Flash plugins from your Internet Plug-ins folder (in main Library, not home Library). Trash Flash Player.plugin and flashplayer.xpt.

Yes, I had already downloaded and tried (several times) to install the version from Adobe's website. That didn't work. So, I followed your other advice, of removing the Flash Player.plugin and flashplayer.xpt files from the Library. That solved the issue! THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP! Stelios
