TICKET ARCHIVE -> Cannot preview Illustrator CS3 files

I am wondering why it is that I can preview Photoshop CS3 docs on my macbook pro, but I cannot preview Illustrator CS3 or PDF's on the same mac? I am running on an OS X 10.5.4 by the way and thanks in advance.

Photoshop's file format is among those openable by Preview, so QuickLook is built-in for those. Illustrator PDFs should work fine but Illustrator files require a third party QuickLook plugin.
