I use a Lexmark 9350 and have it connected to my 'Time capsule' which I in turn use as both a 'time machine' and 'mac wireless router'. The wireless option that comes integrated within the printer is switched off. I have also networked my study via cat5's / ethernet directly to the 'time capsule router'. This wired network is in turn connected via the ethernet to the Lexmark printer. I can wirelessly see the printer in bonjour, configure it via it's IP address but when I try and print to it an error message says the printer cannot be detected? The following message is displayed "There is a problem communicating with the printer. Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to the computer. Delete or hold the job and try again."

The setup for that printer is likely to be using a proprietary driver - therefore, you probably need to click More Printers (in Printer Setup/Print & fax) and select a Lexmark network connect option, and enter the IP address there. The IP printer > LPD, IPP, etc options require CUPS drivers. I don't think Lexmark drivers are CUPS drivers.

Does that help get you closer?

Yes, I've just downloaded lexmarks latest driver for Mac osx leopard and managed to get it printing, so thanks for giving me another idea!
