When I click links that would normally open Windows Media Player (on windows), nothing happens, at all. (The links would normally open in WMP, not a window in safari)

thanks

Hi Mario,

WMV files and the Mac are not happy bedfellows. The WMV player that Microsoft supplied only ever opened as a standalone player and didn't support all that many of the various formats supported by WMP.

Microspft have since abandoned support for WMV on the Mac and left it to a third party to solve the problem. The result is an application called Flip4Mac.

You can download a free player here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...omponents.mspx

It plays WMV files in Quicktime – an excellent solution, in the eyes of most of us rabid Mac users!

When you install it, it will install a plug-in that will allow you to view WMV files in Safari –*and any other browser you may use on your Mac.

Hope that helps!
