HELLO.. I HAVE TROUBLE WITH ANY CHAT ROOMS...
I HAVE A MAC WITH MAC OSX AND I CAN LAUNCH ANY CHAT ROOMS.. I THINK I DONT HAVE MY 'JAVA' UPLOADED BUT I WENT TO THE APPLE PAGE AND I DOWNLOADED THE NEW JAVA PACK. WHEN I TRIED TO INTALL IT IT SAID THAT MY JAVA WAS NEWER THAN THE ONE A WAS ABOUT TO INSTALL...

WHAT CAN I DO??

I REALLY CANT USE ANY CHAT ROOMS...

Ok. What type of chat was this? Web chat? Or was it a dedicated chat program like KDX? Please be specific.

This sounds like someone has blocked your ability to chat? Are you on a managed computer? Are you behind a firewall or router? Are you browsing at a public place like Starbucks? This could all lead to your inability to chat.

oh really?? im live on university halls of residence.. do you think that is why? Windows users does not have any problems using MSN or Chat rooms..

Is there any way i can still get in to chat room?? can i unblock the firewall or something like that??

If user is trying to sign into webpage-based chat, their browser and its settings might be an issue.

I found all this kind of stuff a big pain until I got Adium; I use that and can enter and use Yahoo and AOL chatrooms. Adium is free and works with lots of different interfaces, you might want to recommend it.
