Hi. I just switched from a G4 laptop to a MacBook Pro. I was using CCC to back-up my client files to an external from my G4. I downloaded the most recent version of CCC to the MBP but it seems to not launch upon double-clicking the icon. The doc shifts like it wants to add the icon as an open application, but then it shifts back, no icon appears and the software doesn't open.

I read online that CCC will run on an Intel-based Mac using the Rosetta software (?). Am I missing a step here? Any help would be MUCH ppreciated, even a recommendation of different software.

Thank you!

P.S. I am running OS X 10.4.7

I just realized that NONE of my apps were launching so I restarted and now they all are, including CCC. Any idea why that would happen??? All I have done is install software and migrate files and fonts from my old computer to this one. I haven't really used this one yet...

If you encounter problems after a software install, or a system update, restarting is often a good first step, and many times fixes the issue. Glad to hear you figured it out...

Thanks Dale! Now I have another problem. My MacBook Pro won't recognize the USB ports on the back on my Apple 17" external monitor. I saw some message boards on Apple's site that others are having the same problem. Do you know if there's a solution? I need those ports! ... or I guess I need to buy a hub or something...

have you tried connecting your display to the other USB port on your Macbook?
If you open System Profiler/USB tab, does that show your the display USB hub?
