TICKET ARCHIVE -> Character Palette Window from Font Book

I used the Font Book application from apple to view some of my fonts. I selected the view Character Palette and now the Character Palette window pops-up everytime I switch between apps or the finder. It only appears for 1-2 seconds, but it persists even after shutdowns. Any idea how I can elminate this Character Palette "demon"?

Check in your Accounts prefpane, in the "login items" tab. Is Font Book or any font-related app set to run on startup? If it is, delete it and also delete the Fontbook prefs file in your Library/Preferences folder. One or both steps should solve your problem.
