I need help. I have no idea how to clone my hard drive. I down loaded Carbon Copy but can't figure it out I don't teven know if I should hook up my new hard drive yet. I need to copy all applications, operating system the whole nine yards...everything. How do I do it? do I hook up the new hard drive first? How do i use carbon copy?

Did you first try clicking Help in Carbon Copy Cloner to read its own documentation. I think it does a pretty good job of explaining the process of Using CCC, including selecting your source and target drives, setting preferences if you desire, and running the clone operation.
