I recently purchased a family version of cocktail. It works on an iBook we use, but when I try to use it on my PBook, it will not accept the password for the account I am on. There is only one account, with administrator's privileges, although once upon a time there was another administrative account. I tried that password as well, but still without luck. I have tried using the normal lowercase and uppercase as well. I am using OSX 10.3.9, and Cocktail version 3.5.4. The iBook is also on 10.3.9. It is located in the Applications folder that is in the User directory, not in the more general one, but I have tried it there as well. What do I do now?

Do you also have problems with the Admin password when you install other software?

I will go to the support page now; I have never befdore had a problem with using Admin priviliges. The one suspicion I have is that the very first user was named Root, for I didn't know of the system use of that name. The only user left was created by Root, and I used help from MacOSX folks to remove Root without, I hope, messing things up. I will keep you informed about what I learn, Thanks, Dick
