I have an IBOOK G4 laptop and an IBM destop. I recently purchased a WPS54G print server to utilize my printer from both comuters. I did the windows setup on the desktop and all works great. I am unable to get the G4 laptop to work with the print server. I know LINKSYS doesn't support Apple, so I'm wondering were I can get configuration instructions for the laptop computer?

Unless it's a postscript printer, it's important to have a network-capable driver, in addition to setup. What printer is it?

The only thing tricky about setting up the print server is knowing the protocols it supports and entering all the right info in OS X Printer Setup. It is important to know, for example, that the IP printer > LPD and IPP protocols both require you enter the device-specific queue name in addition to the IP address. The manual for your print server has good instructions for using IPP (so that's what I'd use), on page 47 of the manual. What we really needed from that page is "P1," the device queue name. You don't need to enter the :631 or the /ipp, because OS X does that part for us.
