I can't seem to get connected, I figured I could just plug in my dsl ethernet line and it would sync up, but no dice. What do I need to do in steps to get it to get online, so I can update my firmware.

Jody,

You need to tell the computer how to connect.
Go to the Apple Menu and select Control Panels.
In the TCP/IP control panel, set
Connect via -to- Ethernet
Configure -to- Using DHCP Server

In the Internet control panel, enter the applicable info on the E-Mail tab.
In the Internet Control Panel, enter the application you want to use to get to web sites.

Now you can get to the Apple web site to download the firmware. The download link and instructions are here:
