My son wants to connect his games console either XBOX/Playstation (both use scart cable) to his mac laptop (usb/firewire input). He has Eyetv (T)box, which I thought he could be used. Any ideas how best to connect ?

Jaswinder,

From what I can find out about eyetv, it has two types of input connector: RF (to connect an aerial) and RCA/phono (for cameras, VCR, DVD etc). You need to use the RCA connectors.

The Xbox does come with a connection lead that terminates in RCA plugs. This is what you need to use. If for some reason you don't have one then you should be able to buy one from any store that deals with xBox. Alternatively you may find you can use/buy a scart to RCA adapter. One usually finds these in TV or A/V stores

regards

Tom
