Description:
Is there any way to convert "picture" file created by a scanner to "text" file such as MS word (apple version)? Otherwise I have to type in manually several paragraphs of document that was sent to me in already-typed form.

Harumitsu,

What you need is called OCR software. OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition. This the software that will look at a graphic image and attempt to locate and translate the black and white pixels into usable text. One good OCR program I have used is OmniPage Pro. I think its accuracy beats that of any other OCR package. Unfortunately, unless you have such a software package, you'll have to buy one. The software and technology is just too sophisticated and expensive to develop for it to be released as shareware.
Thanks for using NoWonder,
Patrick Murphy
