I run a G4 Quicksilver dual 1 Ghz with 1.5 gigs of memory. Is there anyway to copy my original disc for archival purposes. I need to copy the graphics and the music. Can it be done? I have a Lacie dual side burner along with the g4 SuperDrive. I use Toast 6.

Well, I ran toast 6.1.1, and I ran into problems. First, the karaoke discs shows two disc images, one with the audio, and one that has nothing in it. Then, when trying to burn it, Toast says it can't mount the image. That's when both images disappeared. I quit Toast and tried to eject the disk, and it would not eject, probably because the disc images were not visible on the desktop. I then tried to reboot, the images were their, but still would not eject. This only happens with karaoke discs. Any suggestions?

Could be because of the way the original disks were written.
Try usign macTheRipper;

Tried MacRipper, but it doesn't work with CD+G disks only DVD's.

Can you drag the CD that you want to burn to the Toast window and burn, or is that when this happens?

I tried that as well. Two images of CD's come up on the desktop. One audio and another that is empty. I try to drag one in and them the other and only the audio shows. Then I try both at the same time. Then one of each. Maybe I'm suppose to use Roxio Popcorn, but that only burns DVD's as well? Another problem is that whenever I want to eject the disc from the computer, I get the beach ball of death and I have to reboot and I try to eject the disc before the computer boots to the desktop.
Confused yet? I am!

There must be some type of copy protection on the disks. Can't help with that, sorry.
