Description:
I have about 4-500 megs of Photoshop files and jpeg photos.I transferred them all to a jazz disk which has had some problems. Now, nothing can open them. HELPPPPP. Months of work here. I ran Norton Utilities which said they the files had damaged resource forks. Is there a utitlity that can fix this? If not, is there a way I can go into each file and fix it? No backups. Jazz disk became too expensive. Photos and artwork are irreplaceable. Please help.
Thanks so much
Sam

Hi, Sam!
Don't panic. Your jpeg photos are unlikely to be damaged, even though possible. Try to backup that disk onto another jazz disk, then use TechTool Pro to try to fix your backed up Jazz disk, not the original. You may also want to copy some files onto your hard drive, and try to repair them from there. Also, try opening the image files with GraphicConverter.
The reason why I believe that there is hope for you is because I doubt that every single file got a damaged resource fork. Your Mac may have a different problem causing this error message. Also try transferring some of those files onto an IBM compatible and see if they open up there using Photoshop or a popular converter. Hope I could help, if you have comments, feedback or any other questions, please email me at andrew@nowonder.com. Please let me know if my suggestions could help, I would like to know.
Thanks for choosing NoWonder!
