When I got my iMac G5 years ago, it came with Panther. To make a long story short, I had problems and on the advice of Apple, I was told to take it to an Apple Service store. They had it for a month and couldn't solve the problem. I called Apple and they told me to tell the tech to open a ticket on it and one of their techs would work with him. He never did. Instead, I was told my Mac was ready to pick up and that they solved the problem by putting the Tiger OS on it. Now I'm in need of the original install disks and don't have them. All I have is Panther. The Apple store where I took the Mac years ago denies putting Tiger on there which is crazy. I have a receipt, but it doesn't specify, it just says"repairs." So my question is... is there any way for me to find out when the Tiger OS was put on? If not, does anyone know how I can get install disks without shucking out hundreds of dollars. I was about to upgrade to Leopard so I only need them once and I know of no one.
Thanks in advance for listening to this long-winded rant. -- Sandra
