Description:
Hi, it's my 3rd question for you. I'm saying thank you for your great support everytime.

Today, my 7300 has a desktop related problem. It crushes almost anytime when I try to move folders or files. So I've rebuilt Desktop file but not worked. The next thing was Disk1stAid and Norton DiskDoctor. Fixed all light problems but not worked.

Now the 7300 automaticaly rebuild its Desktop whenever it startup.

If it has any file with filename including text 'desktop', it will do so. However no such file has found there.

What can I do now? Please let me know if you know anything.

Thanks for your time.

Best regards,

Tomomi Takada

Tomomi,
My name is Cheryl and I will be helping you today. I learned a trick that should help. Go to the Apple menu and select Stickies. Then type something on an empty note. Then Choose Export Text from the file menu. Save the file as 'desktop db' on the hard drive. You then should get a message asking you if you want to replace the current DesktopDB file. Click replace. Now quit Stickies and open your hard drive. You should see a text file called 'desktopdb' Trash it and restart your computer. The Desktop data base will be rebuilt from scratch.
Keep me posted on how you do.
Cheryl
