One of my users is using Entourage with exchange and has lost 4 emails. After checking deleted items and searching the mailbox I have not been able to find them. I have a 10 day retention set on exchange so if they had been deleted there should have been a copy. The only reason I know that the emails actually exsisted is because the user had printed copies before they disappeared.
Any help would be much appreaiceted.

The first thing to try would be to Rebuild the database file, it can often get out of sorts. Depending on the version office that they are running the windows may look slightly different. If you have Office X, then launch Entourage with the option key held down. As the application boots you will get a new window where you will select to rebuild the database and then select the advanced rebuild. In Office 2004, holding the option key at start-up as before will lauch the database utility (make sure that no other Microsoft app's are running. In this window select the rebuild database command and wait for it to complete. Hopefully when you are done the missing files (and likely many others) may reappear. As a general maintenece rule it is recommended to run these utilities on a regular schedule ie: monthly etc just to keep things " spring fresh"
