TICKET ARCHIVE -> Displaying the date on my menu bar

At the top of my screen (menu bar?) there are a number of icons in cluding the day and the time as well as my username. I find that if I click on the time, I see today's date.

Is there any way to get it to display the date along with the time (so I don't have to click on it)?

Thanks,

Sheldon

Hi and Sheldon and welcome back to macosx.com

Unbelievable: there is no driect way to add the date next to the time in the Menu bar !

There is some hack of the Preferences files (.plist) of the system clock to achieve this goal:
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...31113121905276

There are also some clocks which offer a customizable bypass like PTHClock
http://www.pth.com/PTHClock/

In my case, as I need a link to TODO items of iCal, I use MenuCalendarClock
http://www.objectpark.net/products.html

By through Apple tools, never found any way !

Regards
Philippe

Hey, MenuCalendarClock was a great call. Just downloaded it and it is very handy. Don't know why apple doesn't include the date function, but this will do.

Thanks,
Sheldon

Yes, a great enigma: "they" have spotlight technology which can index everything inside your mac, but "they" cannot display date beside time in a menu bar ;-)

Have fun with your Mac and thank you again for using macosx.com services.

Philippe
