To the rockin' volunteer who will answer the following:
(1) FUZZY ICON: Ever since I did a clean install and update of Tiger 10.4.1, the icons for any window I minimize into the dock appear bitmappy. This was not the case in Panther.
(2) MOVING ICON: Aren't icons minimized into the dock that contain moving images (e.g. dvd movie) supposed to reflect similar "action" in the dock?
Thank you for your generous time

1) A minimized icon is not fuzzy on my system
2) I'm watching the Jobs keynote in my Dock right now (It's really small, but it is running.
I have a 350 MHz iMac running 10.4.1 And that part of video stuff looks just fine.

I know there is something wrong with mine. Do you know how to fix this?

What model Mac do you have, and how much memory is installed?
I guess I wasn't too clear. Not all apps will allow motion in a window minimized to the dock, so I don't think you really have a problem with that part.
Although my system seems to display minimised icons OK, yours could be due to the types of apps you are using, and may not be a solvable problem
Do the other icons in your Dock display as you expect? Have you tried changing your video settings?

Powerbook G4/1.33mhz/1.5mb/80gb. Just using safari, MS office, nothing different from what I was using before when I had panther with no similar problems. The current problem is that regardless of the application, ANY open window when minimized has a fuzzy dock icon (NOT appl dock icons, which are clear). Tried to posted two magnified pictures using the OS X zoom and screenshot tools of what I see on my end. You'll find them at
www.uoregon.edu/~jinoo. Hope they open up on your end.

I saw your images, and compared to what I see on my own system. You should try to look at someone else's Tiger. Mine seems to also have that minor fuzziness in document icons that are minimized, but I so rarely use that function that I have never really noticed before.
This could be something that Apple will address in a future update to Tiger.
Personally, I do much more with exposé, which is much easier to use, and takes me further from Windows habits.

I know, it doesn't solve your problem, but just takes advantage of OS X features.
