Knowledge Level: Intermediate

Problem: Software
Computer Type: Apple
Model: performa 637CD
RAM: 32meg
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: System 7.5.1

Description:
How do I decode downloaded MIME files (mostly ver. 1.0)? I frequently receive such files and have been unable to do anything with them. I've tried Mpack and other freeware/shareware to no avail. Simple text returns the message "file too large for simple text".

As for my applications, I have Clarisworks 5.0 and Wordperfect 3.5.

These are some utilities you can use:
Mime Convert 1.05, Decoder 1.34, decode da code
You can download these MIME decoders at:
http://www.shareware.com
First, go to:
http://www.shareware.com/SW/Search/Simple/
and do a search under Macintosh for MIME, mime-convert, decoder or decode-da-code

By the way, BBEdit Lite (a plain text editor) will open any documents that are too large for SimpleText. You can download BBEdit Lite from www.shareware.com, www.tucows.com and many other mac shareware archives.
