Hi ... what is the best free hand drawing program for mac.. i believe that an older version of macro media had a good one in it

If you mean like illustrator or freehand, try inkscape at http://www.inkscape.org/index.php?lang=en or if you want a photo editing type programme try GIMP from http://gimp-app.sourceforge.net/ .
These are the best two free programmes available.
