Hi,

I've been following this tutorial:

http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/dre...macintosh.html

and am stuck at step 8.

which is, to create a Binding > RecordSet.
When I try to do so, I get this message.

"The Recordset script does not define the applyserverbehaviour function"

Please advise.

thanks much,
Tum

Hello Tum :-)

Have you tried the Support at Macromedia yet? Here is a link that might have some helpful tips: http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/kn...&Submit=Search

Make certain you have all your updates for Dreamweaver. Run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. Delete the preference file associated with Dreamwearver. This is an example: com.dreamweaver.plist Preference files can cause software to act buggy.

If you need to reply, could you please indicate with Mac OS you are running? How much memory? All this factors into troubleshooting for you.

Thank you for choosing Macosx.com and I look forward to hearing from you.

Carolyn :-)
PS.. I love Fireworks and Dreamweaver... :-)

Hello Tum,

Bingo! I am 99% sure I know what's causing the problem. You indicated that you are down to 4GB of drive space left. That will cause the exact problem you are experiencing with DW. One a Mac, no matter what program/application you are working in, everytime you Save or Save As or need to "create a binding>record set such as in DW and you have so little drive space left, you'll see messages as the one you did... Recordset script ya da ya da...

What you need is an external drive to save your larger files to. You are editing in developer/html etc., with DW and those files can get big quick. I discovered this when working with audio/video in iMovie and trying to burn a DVD. I was low on drive space and the minute I transferred my files to my iPod, my only currect back up, I was able to edit in audio/video again.

If you have an external drive handy that's great, but if you don't I suggest you consider purchasing one.

I wish I had something better to offer as far as tech support goes. You can also post at www.macromedia.com. They have support also.
And post over at www.apple.com/support also. Apple experts on their boards 24/7. They are experienced and can offer assistance also. Get a second opinion!

Regards,
Carolyn :-)
