I just recently upgraded from Mac OS 10.4 to 10.5. Everything on my old hard drive copied just fine.
I had to reactivate my Adobe products including Dreamweaver. When I try to open my website files in Dreamweaver it says they are locked.
When I look in the Finder under get info they are not locked. How do I access them?

This is a known issue with upgrade & install from Tiger to Leopard. There is a detailed KB article with solutions here:

Hope this helps,
Eric

Thanks for your quick response.
My Photoshop works fine. It is just the files in my Dreamweaver that are locked. The program opens just fine. When I try to open my files, a dialog box tells me that they are read only. I've checked my files in my Finder and they are not locked.

What is the exact error message - "Locked" or "Read Only"?
Also, what are the permissions set to under "Sharing and Permissions" in "Get Info"?
Try running a permissions repair from Disk Utility. This may fix your problem if permissions have become corrupt.

I've checked permissions in Get Info. I was not a user of those files so I added myself as read/write. It made no difference. The error message I get is: "filename".html is a locked file and can be viewed but not changed. What would you like to do with this file?
There are buttons for "cancel" or "view" I've repaired my permissions and it didn't help.
Thanks for your help :-)

As I've looked, the permissions on all my files are the same:
system - read/write
admin - read/write
everyone - read
and they all open just fine in Word, or Excel
My files also open in Photoshop and Acrobat Pro

Got it! - Thanks for your help. It was the "everyone" set to "read" that was causing the hang up. Even by giving myself permission, the "everyone" had to be set to "read/write." Makes no sense to me, but it took care of the issue. Have a good day.
