Greetings. I want to begin backing up some DVDs i own. I have Toast Titanium 7. I also downloaded Mac The Ripper, which i used to extract a DVD today. That DVD, The Conversation, is 7.3 gigs. The DVDs the burner writes to are only 4.7.

What i'm wondering is, is there a way to specify in the extraction that i don't need things like languages, special features. I just need the film, and i would like it to have chapters if possible.

i will do this with Mac the Ripper or Toast 7 or another application, if you suggest. Thanks so much.

Hi Christopher

Popcorn is the best program for this. I use it and works extremely well;

Thanks for sending me that link, bobw. Popcorn looks like a great app. I think I'll stick with what i have right now, just for economic reasons. Tell me, Mac The Ripper is giving me this message: RCE WARNING!

RCE Was Detected, But You Have Not Set Any Region In The RCE Removal Selector Cancel/Continue

I set RCE region to Region 1 (because it was purchased in America!?) Will this affect the quality of my DVD?

Thanks again~!

No, doesn't matter what you set the region for, it won't affect quality.
