I installed OSX with CDs and then upgraded my drive to a DVD R/W.

The DVD player was not installed with my initial OSX install.

How do I get it going?

Hi Jon

Go to ;

http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx

and search for 'Pacifist'

you can use that program to get DVD Player off the OS discs.
