hello i have bought a imac g5 and enjoying it but when we play dvds some have hugewidescreen bars on top and bottom and some have smaller ones but all have them what can i do to play them in what shoul be full screen?? the reason i got the large screen was 'cause i wanted to enjoy the widescreen views can you help?

Alan,

It's no different then playing movies on a non HDTV you are going to get black bars top and bottom when you play a widescreen movie. The only way to get full screen is to buy full screen format DVD's.

Alan,

Let me correct myself, if you go the the menu bar while playing a DVD and select Window, Video Zoom you can change to Standard Display which will display in full screen mode. Sorry for misleading you.
