I use Mac OSX 10.2.8 and I have finally decided it was time to archive my projects on DVD instead of CD. I just can't seem to get them to show up in my finder, they keep ejecting themselves. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jill

Does your machine have a DVD drive installed?

What model Mac do you have?

Hi bob, thanks for the quick reply, I wish I discovered this web site a long time ago!
I have a G4 - for some reason I thought I would have this capability since I have a DVD player on my computer. It says under my system profile that it has CD-RW/DVD-ROM... does this help?
thanks

Your DVD drive is not a recordable drive. If you want to use DVD's to record to, you'll have to replace the drive.

You can buy a drive here;

http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/optic...s/superdrives/

Choose the model Mac you have and you'll see the drives available. It's a good company to deal with, and they'll have instructions for replacing.
