Dear Madam/Sir:
I am a computer novice and still trying to figure out my iMac OS X, Version 10.4.7. Whenever I receive e-mail attachments with .wmv or try to download photos with .sit, I only can see letters and symbols. I do have Microsoft Office:mac installed and open e-mail through Entourage. I also have not been able to determine if this iMac has Stuffit which was suggested on some web sites. I also read that some other software which might open .wmv files is not available for iMacs with Intel chips or did I misunderstand this. Also, do you have any suggestions how to best view some on line videos such as the Panda Cam in the National Zoo in Washington? When I tried, I received a message that I would need some microsoft download. Being new to this, I am reluctant to download anything that may not be compatible with this computer. I have managed to make some items disappear already.
Any suggestions you may have will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Heidi Bibber

Stuffit is not included with OS X anymore. You can download Stuffit Expander Universal Binary Beta from www.macupdate.com. To play .wmv files look for the new Flip4Mac Universal Binary version at the same site.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will try to download both and hope it will solve the problem.
